Once you have completed an 8-week Mindfulness Course, you may well want some extra support to stay connected with your Mindfulness practice.
Everyday Mindfulness offers different ways of reconnecting, ranging from an occasional Drop-In Practice, a Day Retreat, or by repeating the 8-week course or taking part in a Follow-up Workshop or Course. These are open to anyone who has completed an 8-week course, either with Everyday Mindfulness or elsewhere. See below for details of upcoming events. Follow-Up Mindfulness Workshop:
"Transforming Stress and Suffering
to the Sound of Music"
2-Day Workshop Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th May 2018, 10.30 - 5.30 pm
In this 2-day workshop we will look more deeply into our actual experience and understanding of stress, suffering and other forms of dissatisfaction in daily life, and how our practice and a kind approach can help us to transform this into a more compassionate way of being with ourselves and our lives.
We will do this by tuning in directly with our experience of stress and suffering to the sound of music, re-connecting with our Mindfulness practice of the Body Scan, Mindful Movement and Sitting Meditation, as well as various interactive exercises, to help us cultivate a more compassionate and liberating perspective.
The workshop is open to anyone who has completed an 8-week Mindfulness course, either with Everyday Mindfulness or elsewhere.

Mindfulness for Women "Living from the Inside Out"
4-Month Course - Saturday 6th October 2018 - 26th January 2019, 10.30-5.30 pm
This is a graduate course where we will be deepening our Mindfulness practice of the Body Scan, Mindful Movement and Sitting Meditation, look more deeply into how our practice touches on our life as women, and create a community of fellow women. The Mindfulness for Women course is intended for women with Mindfulness or other equivalent meditation experience. Please contact me if you are unsure whether you have the required experience.
As women we go through many different stages and transitions in life. We greatly need to cultivate self-compassion and wisdom to guide us for an empowered and balanced life, rather than feeling pressurised by expectations, guilt, shame, fear, and self-criticism. The Mindfulness for Women course aims to deepen our mindfulness practice to find our own inspiration, with creativity, humour, and mutual support. Themes will include body image vs trusting the wisdom of our bodies, awareness of our place in life and the world, finding and communicating our voice, and giving shape to our passion. We will explore how our practice and a kind approach can help us lead our lives guided by inner awareness rather than the myriad of inner and outer pressures we encounter.
The Mindfulness for Women course consists of 5 monthly day sessions and Day-Retreat, with the support of optional drop-ins and buddy calls, and on-going teacher guidance in between sessions, including an individual interview during the final month. You will need to commit to attending at least 4 out of the 5 day-sessions, including the first and final one. Daily Home Practice will consist of a choice of guided meditations of 30 minutes and informal practice.
Participating in the Course
Participation in the programme requires considerable input from you. In addition to committing to attend at least 4 out of the 5 course sessions (including the first and last), you will be expected to spend about 30 minutes each day on your mindfulness meditations and 15 minutes twice a week to check in with your buddy, as well as some time each week for the Habit Breakers (vary from 5 minutes to a couple of hours). You need to consider carefully whether you are able to dedicate this amount of time to your learning. However, all the women who have completed this course report major personal benefits, and the joy of building a community of new friends. The greater your personal input, the more rewarding you are likely to find this course.
